BUTTERFLY PEA

The Butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) is an herbaceous plant. The roots, leaves and especially the flowers are frequently used in Asian cuisine and natural medicine. The flowers contain the colouring agent anthocyanin pigment, which gives the flower its natural blue colour.
The Butterfly pea contains, among others, the natural antioxidants proanthocyandin and bioflarinoids. Quercetin (flarinoids) strengthens the condition of the hair and helps to keep the skin healthy.
In addition, Butterfly pea is also used for its properties of good bladder function, its beneficial effect on the circulatory system and its stimulating effect on the immune system.
