The scientific name of soursop is Annona Muricata and the plant is also called graviola, guanábana or guyabano.
Soursop (Graviola) has excellent medicinal properties, making it a very useful ingredient in various herbal health products. Both the plant (seeds, bark and roots), the fruit and the leaves of the soursop are full of healthy substances. Soursop is rich in vitamins, proteins, calcium and zinc, among other things.
The plant is rich in bioactive components and phytochemicals, among other things.
The flesh contains, for example, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, zinc and beta-carotene. This combination can be applied to eye diseases and can promote eye health. Other substances found in this fruit are potassium, dietary fibre and carbohydrates, mainly fructose. In addition, the fruit is rich in antioxidants.
The leaves can be used for various purposes, for example, to treat various diseases, to wash your hair or to make a healthy cup of tea.
*Not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people with low blood pressure, people with Parkinson's disease, in combination with St. John's Wort, MAO-inhibitors and anti-depressants and people suffering from heart diseases. The use of soursop in combination with Co-emzyme Q10 is not recommended because it causes an increase in ATP. In fact, soursop lowers ATP in cancer cells.
